With just nine members and dwindling funds, the Cuyahoga High Marching Beavers are close to extinction. When a troubled athlete is relegated to their ranks, Elliott, the tuba-playing band captain, and Laura, his best friend, must find a way to unite the band, embrace their inner geek, and save the Marching Beavers.

Previously workshopped and produced by Goodspeed Musicals, The Human Race Theatre, The Hart School, and Troy University.

FAQs- If you are interested in producing Band Geeks!, you should know the following:

  • Actors DON'T have to play instruments. The orchestration is written to allow them to pantomime. Optional parts are available in the materials if you DO have instrumentalists in the cast.

  • The expanded version has all of the music (including "Standing On the Sidelines" and "For the Greater Good"), but you can do the show with as few as 12 or as many actors as your production will allow.

  • The orchestration is created to easily integrate with high school and community bands. You don't need a lot of technology to achieve a great sound.

  • For High School directors, we support your need to do one-act versions of this show. We have seen it edited with great success.

  • Tracks ARE available for a small fee if you reach out to me on this website. You can hear them in the recording available on spotify.

  • Visit the Band Geeks page on MTI ShowSpace to share and view photos, video, costume and prop rentals and more. See more at: http://www.mtishows.com
